Vice President – Structures | Bridge Engineering Specialist| Marine Corps Veteran

Lukas Janulis is a Marine Corps veteran and a seasoned structural engineer with over 17 years of experience in the inspection, assessment, and design of transportation infrastructure. Specializing in bridge engineering, Lukas has extensive expertise in bridge design and rehabilitation, erection, temporary structure support, earth retention systems, and foundation analysis. He has worked alongside a diverse range of public clients, including state departments of transportation, tollway agencies, railroads, and municipalities, to deliver innovative structural solutions that prioritize safety and enhance operational efficiency.

As a Certified NBIS Program Manager and Engineer Diver, Lukas excels in conducting a variety of bridge inspections, including Routine, Nonredundant Steel Tension Member, Element Level, and Underwater Inspections, all in strict adherence to National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS). He has also performed damage assessments and load capacity ratings, and successfully managed large-scale inspection projects both nationwide and internationally, including the Illinois Statewide Bridge Inspection Project.

Lukas earned his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology. Outside of his professional life, Lukas enjoys playing golf, spending time outdoors, and supporting the Lithuanian national basketball team. He is also an avid sneaker collector and a whiskey connoisseur, bringing a unique set of passions to his personal life.
